Maintain your rage

You can’t gauge the rage in people
They’re more dangerous than all the killers
And crazed ideologues
Deadlier than taipans
In a clothes dryer

Because they blame you
For their wretchedness &
Hopelessness, serial whining
Is their advance party

Righteous conspiracy theories
Stewing midnight scripts
They want to save the earth
Or destroy it

As long as someone, somewhere
Is to blame

You can’t gauge the rage in people
Their humour is sugar and ant-kill
Their scales are loaded with dead loves

Suicides, mechanic bills, impotence
Once was and could have been
The sheer tyranny of the blue, blue sky

They’re blood moon murderous.

Please understand, it’s not their fault
and never will be but

Don’t hesitate if you hear that whining
Press your cheek to the stock
Take a breath, exhale slowly
And keep on firing.
